  • United Way 2-1-1

    211 is a phone line available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in multiple languages.

    211 refers people to essential services like rental assistance, food programs, childcare, employment resources, etc.

    211 serves as a standardized entry point for people to call to get connected to our Coordinated Entry System and rental assistance programs.

  • The gateway to the homeless response system and housing is the Coordinated Entry System (CES).

    How does it work?

    All households who are at risk of being unhoused or experiencing homelessness need to call 2-1-1. At that time, if a household is at risk of losing their housing but can maintain it with some assistance (e.g., rental/housing assistance), they are referred to the county triage team in their community to begin applying for assistance.
