Full Time Supportive Housing Site Director (Park Place of Bemidji – Bemidji, MN)

Center City Housing Corp. is looking for candidates to fill our full-time position in Bemidji, MN as Site Director of the soon-to-open Park Place of Bemidji supportive housing facility.

The Site Director is responsible for carrying out the mission of CCHC by guiding the overall operation of a supportive housing apartment building serving homeless single adults and/or chronic public inebriates. This upper level management position involves ensuring the CCHC culture of treating all people with dignity and respect is established and maintained within their community of staff and clients. This person is responsible for leading a team of employees, volunteers, and partners to carry out the property and program goals based on “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” philosophies.

This position requires a unique combination of social service skills as well as property and team management experience. A degree or equivalent experience in human services, business administration, program management, mental health or chemical dependency managerial roles, subsidized property management, or related fields is required. Supervisory experience is also required. This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Full-Time Transitional Supportive Housing Case Manager (Duluth, MN)

Overview:
Provide case management, advocacy, and support services to homeless individuals and their children who are participating in the transitional housing program.  Ensure program success by supporting individuals and their children to create long-term goals, weekly goals, and objectives that lead to improved skills/education/income and movement to permanent housing within 24 months.  Provide information and referrals, home visits, community meetings/programs and advocate for participants with community providers of services.  Maintain appropriate recordkeeping and client records in accordance with federal, state and Center City Housing Corporation requirements. Work closely with Site Director, Case Management Coordinator, Early Childhood Program Coordinator, Youth Program Coordinator, Case Managers, property manager, and other community agencies to carry out program goals based on “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” philosophies.

Preferred Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human service field preferably with two years experience in case management for homeless people OR Associate Degree in human service field with three years experience in case management for homeless people.  This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.  This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Part-time Janitor (The Esmond – Duluth, MN)

Center City Housing is accepting applications for an individual to perform janitorial support at The Esmond apartments in Duluth. This position will assist the Site Director and Maintenance with general cleaning and upkeep of the building.

The person in this position must be able to work independently and as a member of a team to effectively perform duties. Responsible for assisting the Site Director and Maintenance in identifying long- and short-term cleaning and repair projects. Implement ongoing cleaning schedule that includes cleaning floors, windows, and storage spaces. Complete daily cleaning tasks. Assist in snow and ice removal from sidewalks and entryways. Assist Site Director and Maintenance in coordinating the schedules of cleaning volunteers. Assist in cleaning and preparing rooms for rental. Be familiar with tools and equipment necessary for custodial services. Prioritize and manage cleaning projects. Communicate with and relate to diverse populations. Abide by current safety regulations as defined by OSHA, Fire and Health Departments and other regulatory agencies. Must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Gage East Apartments is located at 920 40th St NW.  The Resident Assistant positions are on site 24 hours a day and we are looking for people to fill 3 shifts.

Responsibilities include: greeting and granting access to people who enter the building, maintaining front desk log, communicating with program staff regarding resident needs, handling unauthorized requests for entry, monitoring security systems, monitoring phone system, light cleaning.  Must have the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including previously homeless and low income.   Good communication skills are a must.  Individuals in this role must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and pass and maintain Minnesota Criminal Background Study clearance.

Asset Manager (Duluth, MN)

The Asset Manager is responsible for capital planning, preventive maintenance plans, physical inspections, maintenance expense and utility monitoring, and construction oversight at CCHC properties.  This position also acts as the primary contact with third-party property management firms for those properties not managed by CCHC.

Must have degree or equivalent experience in building/construction services, project management and/or related fields.  Supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation and the ability to successfully complete all background checks including criminal records is also required.
