Preferences

Center City Housing will comply with any/all legal or contractual preference criteria. Whenever Federal and State or local requirements exist in the same Center City Housing facility, Federal requirements will prevail.

 

Whenever Federal preferences are applicable, preferences will be aggregated. That is, applicants with multiple preference status will be placed above applicants with fewer or no preferences.

 

The time and date of receipt of an application will be noted on each application by Center City Housing staff. If all other criteria are equal among applicants, the earliest completed and verified application will be given preferences.

 

To promote better utilization of all units, preference shall be given to the larger household. No policy shall be adopted restricting occupancy to households having fewer than two persons per bedroom. Nothing continued herein shall prohibit occupancy by households with fewer than two persons per bedroom.

Applicants utilizing wheelchairs will be given preference for Center City Housing units designed for use by wheel chair bound persons.
