Center City Housing Corp. (CCHC) has become a valuable resource to communities and non-profit organizations who are looking to develop affordable and niche housing but don’t want to do it on their own. CCHC can assist in a variety of ways to turn a project idea into a reality. This can involve:

  • developing and owning a project development
  • leading a team through a total project development
  • taking a limited role in an overall development
  • acting as a consultant for a given project

CCHC has expertise in:

  • identifying and garnering financial resources
  • leading development teams
  • shepherding new developments as well as rehab projects
  • building supportive service programs

Our leadership staff includes:

Rick Klun, Executive Director
Rick Klun has spent the majority of his adult life in leadership positions with organizations that help disadvantaged adults and children. Since 2004, he has been the Executive Director at Center City Housing Corp.; developer, owner and operator of affordable housing based in Duluth, Minnesota. He also was employed with Catholic Charities in Wisconsin for 15 years where he supervised that organization’s housing and development programs for people with disabilities as well as developmental learning programs for young children.

Kris Meyer, Director of Finance and Operations
Kris oversees the business operations of CCHC. She brings over 25 years of business related experience to our organization. Her previous employment includes work as Media Director for H.T. Klatzky & Associates advertising agency and Circulation Director and Manager for a nationally known award winning publishing company. Her duties include tracking all financial aspects of our business operations, directing our human resources activities and leading our internal asset management functions. Specialty skills include: building and analyzing budgets and proformas, organizing human resources and interaction with reporting agencies.

Nancy Cashman, Supportive Housing Development Director
Nancy, the newest member of the CCHC team, brings over 20 years of leadership experience in Social Service programming. As the Supportive Housing Director, she develops supportive housing funding and services in our existing housing and works on the supportive services needs in new development projects. Prior to joining CCHC, Nancy was the Social Services Director at the Duluth Salvation Army. In that role Nancy supervised 15 people, oversaw a $900,000 budget and managed multiple programs for homeless and low income families and individuals. Nancy’s duties presently include reorganization of our supportive housing portfolio.

Lori Reilly, Regional Housing Director
Lori joined CCHC in early 2007 as the Site Manager for the New San Marco Apartments, a 70 unit Supportive Housing project. Her 13 years as the Housing Manager at the Duluth YWCA and experience starting up and operating the Young Mother’s Transitional Housing Program brought CCHC a great asset. She has been an integral participant in the development projects for the San Marco and River Crest facilities. Lori is transitioning to the Regional Housing Director position where she will oversee the San Marco Apartments, the River Crest Apartments and future projects as developed.

CCHC prides itself in identifying the unique and specialized needs of diverse clients and knows the importance of responsible, cost-effective service.
